THE PHILOSOPHY SHOP
 
Inspired by the pursuit of the examined life of the ancient Greek philosophers, Peter Worley became committed to the practical application of philosophy to help people and subsequently developed his proprietary “Philosophy in Primary Schools” programme (2003). He has been teaching philosophy peripatetically in primary schools in Lewisham for the last 6 years and has worked educating children for 15 years. Current schools Peter works in: Eliot Bank, Holy Trinity, St. Winifreds Infants, St Winifreds Juniors, Grinling Gibbons, Horniman, St. Marys, St. Margarets, Perrymount, John Ball, All Saints, Brindishe, Hither Green and Ashmead.
 
Peter has a BA and MA in philosophy from UCL and Birkbeck respectively and he is a trained philosophical counsellor. Peter is a committee member of the Society for Philosophy in Practice and Director of The Philosophy Shop.

Emma Worley joined Peter as Co-Director of The Philosophy Shop in 2007. She has studied Greek Philosophy at Birkbeck and has worked educating children since 1999.
