THE PHILOSOPHY SHOP
As part of our initiative to provide more Consultant Philosophers in schools we are running courses for attendees to become Registered Consultant Philosophers in primary schools.
 
To be registered as a Consultant Philosopher with us your work in schools must be observed and approved by The Philosophy Shop. An accredited Consultant Philosopher will be advertised on our website and will be able to practice under our name. Accreditation and membership will confer these benefits:
 
  1. •Promotion of members and work opportunities
  2. •Pay increase to membership level
  3. •Access to The Philosophy Shop curriculum
  4. •A newsletter keeping members informed of courses and other developments
  5. •Regular member meetings for networking opportunities, and the exchange of ideas and experience
  6. •Continued email and phone support.
 
To become accredited the following requirements should be met:
 
  1. •Either a single or joint honours degree (or higher) in philosophy
  2. •Completion of the three stages as described
  3. •Successful observation
