Enquiry

An Enquiry can be run on any topic in the national curriculum, it is not exclusive to philosophy, and is a very useful teaching strategy for developing a learner-centred environment.

Regular Enquiry will develop speaking and listening skills, confidence and concentration in your pupils. It will also develop wider questioning skills from your teachers and pupils, help them develop reasoning and social skills and a collaborative classroom ethos, both between the teacher and the pupils and amongst the class as a whole. Making use of Enquiry will also enable teachers to develop a flexible and student-centred approach to their planning.
